2). Opening of the International Year of Glass in Russia
The second decade of March was marked by the solemn opening ceremony of the International Year of Glass 2022 in Russia declared by the UN General Assembly. The ceremony was held at the site of the Central Research Institute of Structural Materials "Prometheus" in St. Petersburg.
Viktor Osipov President of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia - a member of the Russian organizing committee welcomed colleagues and congratulated on the long-awaited important event for the global glass industry.
Viktor Osipov noted that StekloSouz of Russia has been a Member of the Council of the International Commission on Glass (ICG) for more than 10 years.
3). Association "StekloSouz" of Russia. Recycling offers
The Association StekloSouz of Russia, as part of the implementation of the industry program on the Technical Regulation of the Glass Industry, in the course of work to amend the Plan for the Development of Technical Regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union, proposes to supplement TR TS 005/2011 “On Packaging Safety” with mandatory requirements for disposal.
4). Association "StekloSouz" of Russia turned to the largest supplier of soda ash in Russia TD "Bashkhim"
Prices for raw materials for glass production rose by a third. Russian glass producers, against the backdrop of an increase in the exchange rate, faced a sharp rise in the price of soda, a raw material for their products.
5). Working with foreign markets in the current conditions

7). Association "StekloSouz" of Russia. On the establishment of the Scientific and Technical Center

We inform you that on the basis of the Research and Production Center "Glass-Gaz" at the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia, the Scientific and Technical Center (STC SSR) was created, whose activities provide for the preparation of scientific and technical developments for implementation at the enterprises of the industry; holding seminars to improve the skills of employees of glass enterprises; ensuring communication between higher and special educational institutions and glass production, participating in the preparation of thematic plans of educational institutions at the request of glass enterprises.
8). Solemn opening ceremony of the International Year of Glass 2022 at the UN Palais des Nations
In the second decade of February in Geneva, at the UN Palace of Nations, a large-scale world-class event was held - the solemn opening ceremony of the International Year of Glass 2022. The GlassSoyuz Association of Russia took part in the ceremony and business program of this event. "StekloSouz" of Russia was presented by Viktor Ivanovich Osipov, President of the Association.
9). Solemn meeting dedicated to the Day of Russian Science, the International Year of Glass and the birthday of D.I. Mendeleev
The first ten days of February 2022 ended with a solemn meeting dedicated to the Day of Russian Science, the International Year of Glass and the birthday of D.I. Mendeleev. The event was held in the conference hall of the scientific center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The celebratory meeting was attended by the leaders of the Russian Academy of Sciences, researchers of the Russian Academy of Sciences, heads of enterprises and educational institutions.
The organizers of this research and production Forum were the Institute of Agriculture of the Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the support of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia.
Viktor Osipov, President of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia, delivered a welcoming speech and a report.
In his speech, Viktor Osipovemphasized the importance of 2022, approved by the UN General Assembly, as the International Year of Glass for the global glass industry and congratulated all colleagues on the International Year of Glass 2022.
Viktor Osipov outlined the stages of the Program of Events of the Association StekloSouz of Russia as part of the celebration of the International Year of Glass, outlined the results of the 20-year work of StekloSoyuz and spoke about the Program of Activities until 2030.
In addition, in his report, Viktor Osipov emphasized the close relationship between the activities of the Association StekloSouz of Russia and science, the creation of the Scientific and Technical Center, and educational programs jointly with the Institute of Agriculture of the Russian Academy of Sciences. At the same time, personnel issues and retraining were identified.
Viktor Osipov announced the main goals for the development of the glass industry until 2030 - export and import substitution.
Also, as part of the Solemn Meeting, Irina Kruchinina, Vice President of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia, Director of the Institute of Agriculture of the Russian Academy of Sciences, spoke about the events dedicated to the International Year of Glass 2022 in her report.
10). The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation considered the issues of staffing in the domestic industry
On February 9, 2022, a meeting of the Council of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Industrial Development and Competitiveness of the Russian Economy was held at the Congress Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on the topic: “Personnel for industry. Preparing for the New Industrialization. Problems, solutions.
The Association "StekloSouz" of Russia, which is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, took an active part in the work of the meeting. Viktor Osipov, President of StekloSoyuz Russia, outlined the issues of the lack of qualified personnel in the glass industry - a significant part of the industrial sector.
The event was moderated by the Chairman of the Council, President of the Rosspetsmash Association Konstantin Babkin.
