Systematic consultations with the heads of committees of the Association StekloSouz of Russia within the framework of the PRODEXPO exhibition

During the period from February 5 to February 9, 2024, as part of the PRODEXPO exhibition, the heads of the committees of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia (SSR) held systematic consultations with the heads of domestic glass container factories.

The meetings were held as part of the implementation of the decisions of the heads of glass container factories dated January 16, 2024.

As you know, on this day at the meeting (open in more detail) decisions were made to correct problematic issues of extended producer responsibility (EPR) for glass container products.

As part of the implementation of the ROP, the Government of the Russian Federation approved a number of Resolutions dated December 29, 2023 and early January 2024.

During the study of by-laws, "StekloSouz" experts identified serious contradictions in the issues of determining recyclers, tariffs, rates and other issues. There is no understanding of how the “colored” environmental fee, the incentive system for glass container factories, etc. will work.

Currently, experts from the Working Group (WG) of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia have prepared and sent documents to the Government of the Russian Federation and relevant ministries to receive comments on the issues raised.

"StekloSouz" of Russia made a proposal to plant managers to organize the development of a Program for adapting the work of glass container plants in the conditions of the negative impact of the introduction of extended producer responsibility (EPR).

The founders and managers of the factories agreed on a Plan of Priority Actions.
