- SYNTHESIS AND SPECTRAL-LUMINESCENT PROPERTIES OF BISMUTH GERMANATE GLASSES MODIFIED WITH SODIUM OXIDE

Bismuth germanate glasses modified with sodium oxide were synthesized. The effect of the modifier on the spectral-luminescent properties of bismuth germanate glasses was studied. The ratios of Bi2O3 and Na2O concentrations at which IR luminescence of these glasses is possible were found.

- FIRE SAFETY OF GLAZING – UPDATED MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (REVIEW)

Compliance of buildings with fire safety requirements is an important issue for designers and builders. Based on the analysis of statistical data, conclusions are made about the inadequacy of measures to ensure the safety of people in a fire and the role of translucent structures (TS) in solving this problem. Issues of mandatory fire safety requirements for TTS of buildings are considered. An analysis of regulatory documentation is conducted in connection with the recent update of basic regulatory documents on fire safety requirements. A brief overview of fire-resistant TTS and fire-resistant glass is provided. Recommendations are given on the use of TTS in order to improve the safety of people in a fire.
