Sibstekl's revenue grew by one and a half times

A member of the Association StekloSouz of Russia OOO Sibirskoe Steklo (Sibsteklo, the largest manufacturer of glass containers beyond the Urals, an asset of RATM Holding) summed up the results of the first quarter.

According to Anton Mor, CEO of the company, the production of container glass compared to the same period in 2021 increased by 61% - from 35.2 to 56.7 thousand tons, and in pieces by 65% - from 121.7 thousand to 200 .4 thousand. Including, the company produced 165.7 million bottles using facilitating methods. The share of such products in the total volume amounted to 79% (65% a year earlier). The average weight of a glass product decreased by 2% from 290 to 283 g, which allows the plant to keep down prices.

Moreover, the proceeds from the sale of glass containers increased by 49% - from 882 million to 1.3 billion rubles; sales profit by 31% - from 247.4 million to 324.4 million rubles. The value of EBITDA was at the level of 271.5 million rubles, which is 14% more than in the period from January to March 2021.

“Financial indicators are growing following the production capabilities of the plant: let me remind you that last year Sibsteklo commissioned a new glass melting furnace with a capacity of 375 tons of glass melt in essence,” comments Anton Mor. – Demand for our packaging remains stable, the market for alcoholic and low-alcohol drinks in Russia shows positive dynamics in the first quarter, and we will make every effort to ensure that we fulfill our obligations in the current conditions, satisfying the needs of customers.
