World Standardization Day!

Dear colleagues!

On October 14th, we celebrate World Standardization Day. On this day, we highlight the importance of creating uniform standards of action and express recognition and respect to the specialists who dedicate their professional lives to this responsible and essential work.

The Association StekloSouz of Russia places great importance on standardization. These documents ensure the quality and safety of glass production and glass products.

Represented by the heads of its committees and departments, the StekloSouz Association of Russia actively works in many technical committees, including TC 465, TC 144, TC 041, and others.

Within the Association StekloSouz of Russia, there is a Department of Technical Regulation and Quality Control.

Given the importance of this area, the StekloSouz Association of Russia places particular emphasis on training and education for glass industry managers and specialists. Training seminars are held on the implementation of effective quality management systems and compliance with regulatory requirements.

We congratulate Lyudmila Sergeeva, Deputy Director for Standardization of the Glass Container Department of the USSR, and Tatyana Vlasova, Chair of the Windows and Doors Subcommittee of TC 465, TC O41 "Glass," and all specialists working in this field to develop the production of high-quality glass and glass products for various sectors of the national economy on their professional holiday – World Standards Day!

Thanks in part to the efforts of these specialists, in 2022 the glass industry became one of the top five exporters, occupying a stable position in glass and glassware exports after the metallurgical and chemical industries.
