In the Ulyanovsk region will begin production of carbon dioxide and fiberglass

Despite the difficult epidemiological situation, the region is taking measures to support the economy and maintain interaction with business.

By the end of 2021, a carbon dioxide production plant will be built on the territory of the Novoulyanovsk industrial park. The Russian company Grancourt will invest 136 million rubles in the construction. At the first stage, 20 jobs will be created.

“In case of successful implementation of the project, we have a plan for the construction of a year-round thermal complex with a spa and a hotel, a cafe in Novoulyanovsk.”

Carbon dioxide is used in agriculture, medicine, food and chemical industries, metallurgy and much more. Therefore, according to the leadership of the region, the demand for liquid edible carbon dioxide will be large. Already there are preliminary arrangements with wholesalers and large manufacturers.

It is also planned to expand the port special economic zone Ulyanovsk. Platforma Company plans to locate an enterprise for the production of fiberglass and products based on it. 90% of the planned production will be general-purpose fiberglass. This is the most common brand of fiberglass used for the manufacture of materials where strength and high electrical resistance are required. The company will invest more than 7 billion rubles in the project and create 280 new jobs for residents of the region.
