The Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented a mechanism to support industrial cooperation in the EAEU

On March 20, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry held an open presentation of a mechanism to support industrial cooperation in the EAEU and joint cooperation projects for business associations of partner countries and chambers of commerce and industry.

As is known, the StekloSouz Association of Russia (SSR) is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (CCI RF). The heads of the relevant committees and departments of the SSR are members of the working groups in the system of this Russian voluntary non-governmental association of entrepreneurs.

Viktor Osipov, President of the StekloSouz Association of Russia, took part in the work of this event.

The event was moderated by Vice President of the CCI RF Dmitry Kurochkin.

In his opening remarks, President of the CCI RF Sergey Katyrin said that in 2024, the new mechanism of preferential financial support for industrial cooperation in the EAEU officially began operating. He noted the active work of the Project Office for Support of Industrial Cooperation in the EAEU under the Advisory Council of the Chambers of the Union Member States.

“There are quite a lot of different kinds of difficulties: in terms of the regulatory framework, the organization of banking work, along the lines of support institutions. There are many things to list, but nevertheless, we managed to advance two projects to the financing stage. These are projects that, one might say, are in progress,” said Sergey Katyrin.

Goar Barseghyan, a member of the Board (Minister) for Industry and Agro-Industrial Complex of the EEC, spoke about the instruments of support for industrial cooperation from the EEC, as well as the possibility of expanding them to the agro-industrial complex.

Georgy Arzumanyan, Deputy Director of the Department of Industrial Policy of the EEC, reported on the work of the Commission as the administrator of the mechanism for financial assistance to industrial cooperation in the EAEU.

Chairman of the RF CCI Council for Financial, Industrial and Investment Policy, member of the Project Office for Support of Cooperation in the EAEU from the Russian Federation Vladimir Gamza made proposals on working with financial organizations.

The practice of working with application documentation of industrial enterprises (borrowers) applying for financial support was outlined by the Chief Manager of the Strategy and Planning Department of JSC Industrial Development Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan Damir Zhanuzakov.

The head of the Project Office for Support of Cooperation in the EAEU Anastasia Astakhova and others also spoke during the event.
