Tehran hosts glass industry exhibition

The 5th International Exhibition of Glass Industry, Crystal, Porcelain, Engineering and Related Industries (Iran Glass Show 2022) kicked off on Sunday at the Permanent International Exhibition Site in Tehran.

This four-day exhibition showcases the latest developments in the glass industry, including the latest developments in the construction, industrial and automotive industries.

The purpose of the exhibition is to promote the glass industry in Iran, prepare a roadmap for the development of the glass industry by studying the problems and comparing with leading countries in this direction.

Iran produces more than 2.5 million tons of glass per year, of which 1.6 million tons are sheet glass, 450,000 tons are bottles, and the rest is crystals.

Currently, the country's 10 large operating glass factories produce 450,000 square meters of building glass daily, of which about 40 percent is exported to the countries of the Persian Gulf, Central Asia and even Europe.
