Glass container processing line opened in Syktyvkar

PVS LLC became the first enterprise in Syktyvkar that mastered the processing of glass containers to a fraction of quartz sand, which, along with plastic, is used in the manufacture of paving slabs and manholes for communal wells. Production is carried out on the basis of a domestic production line installed at the enterprise. For a full-scale production of products based on recycled materials, it is necessary to undergo a certification procedure, which is what the company does. The head of the enterprise, Alexander Neskin, explained that the company plans to manufacture benches, urns, and small architectural forms for the improvement of urban spaces.

PVS LLC is a city administration contractor for maintenance of containers for separate waste collection. The company has been operating in this market since 2014. To date, 101 sites have been organized in Syktyvkar to collect eight types of plastic, cardboard, waste paper, books, magazines and Tetra Pak packaging. After collection, recyclables are sorted and pressed for subsequent shipment for processing to various cities of Russia.

Nowadays, in Syktyvkar, a network of eco-centers for the collection of secondary raw materials for its processing is gradually expanding. This movement is joined by caring citizens and schoolchildren, for example, the capital's school No. 24, where children, under the guidance of teachers, collect lids from plastic containers and send them to PVS.
