The largest waste processing complex in the region will be built in the Rostov Region

y 2021, the largest inter-municipal ecological waste processing complex (MEOK) in the region will be built in the Rostov Region. This was reported in the press service of the Rostov region, specifying that this complex will be the second in the region.

According to the press service, the design and estimate documentation for the construction of the MEOK has already received the approval of the Glavgosexpertiza of Russia and environmental expertise. At the moment, the regional operator has all the necessary documents for the construction.

According to the deputy minister of housing and communal services of the Don region, Irina Yaltyreva, despite the difficult epidemiological situation, regional operators continue to carry out their work, including the construction of the necessary infrastructure.

The press service noted that now a facility is being built at the facility, a waste disposal site and an access road are being built. A MSW landfill, an automated sorting complex and a bio-composting site will be erected on the land plot. After commissioning, the complex will be able to receive up to 800 thousand tons of municipal waste per year.
