Russia has conceived to create a set of standards for information modeling

In Russia, they began to develop a set of standards "Unified Information Modeling System". This was reported in the press service of the FAA FTSS, specifying that the relevant decision was made by experts of the profile subcommittee PC 5 "Lifecycle management of capital construction facilities" of the technical committee TC 465 "Construction".

According to Sergei Ergopulo, Head of PC 5 Life Cycle Management of Capital Construction Facilities, Director for Digital Design Development at Atomenergoproekt JSC, the set of standards should fix a common understanding of the goals and objectives of information modeling at the stages of the life cycle.

Sergey Ergopulo noted that this will help solve the situation when a project in bim needs to be developed in each specific case according to the individual requirements of each customer, each expertise, for builders. “It is also necessary to establish links with related standards, including standards of various industries at all stages of the life cycle of the facility,” he said.
