GLASS FACTORY IN MINVODS WILL INCREASE POWER FOR QUARTER

In Mineralnye Vody, one of the largest manufacturers of glass containers at Kavminsteklo JSC is planning to modernize production and launch another smelter.

The enterprise was visited by Vitaliy Shevchenko, Deputy Minister of Energy, Industry and Communications of Stavropol. He inspected the production workshops together with the director of the plant, Yuri Razumov.

According to the head of Kavminsteklo, now the capacity of the two furnaces allows to produce about 470 million units of glass containers per year. That is how much the company created in the past year. This is 445 million bottles and 25 million cans of various sizes.

According to the press service of the regional ministry of energy, industry and communications of the UK, already in 2021 the plant will increase capacity by 25 percent. For this, a third melting furnace will be installed here. Its launch is scheduled for the end of this year. The department explained that the company will invest about 15 million in this project.
