Господдержка предприятий-производителей строительных материалов
According to the developers, the resulting material can be used in the construction industry.
Scientists of the Kuzbass State Technical University (KuzGTU) have developed a technology for processing ash and slag wastes, which are generated in large quantities during the operation of a thermal power plant, into liquid glass for further production of non-combustible building materials. Prototypes have successfully passed strength tests, developer Nikita Piskunov told TASS.
"Prototypes were obtained, they passed tests and showed that the obtained material can be effectively used in the construction industry. For example, when added to paint, glass creates a film and a fireproof material is obtained that does not burn. It can also be used for gluing various materials, making coatings. , putty, putty. The cost of products based on such liquid glass from ash is 1.5 times lower than analogues on the market, "Piskunov said.
Traditionally, ash can be used as an active mineral additive in the production of dry building materials and concrete, replacing sand and mineral powder. Kuzbass scientists propose its processing into a new type of product.
For the production of liquid glass, ash and slag materials are mixed with water and alkali in certain concentrations and heated for a long time at a high temperature. After cooling, the material can be used in construction. Scientists have already reached an agreement with power engineers who provide raw materials from CHPP waste.
