Gus-Khrustalny plans to develop a program for the development of municipal roads

Gus-Khrustalny district is known for its industrial potential far beyond the Vladimir region. There are enterprises of mechanical engineering, textile, chemical and food industries, as well as the largest peat deposit in the region.

However, the area is primarily famous for its glass production. Quartz sand, refractory and refractory expanded clay, limestone are mined from the bowels of the Gusev land. The extraction of this raw material contributes to the development of large-scale production of glass and glass products.

The speaker of the regional parliament, Vladimir Nikolaevich Kiselev, visited one of the glass factories in the village of Krasny Oktyabr. This plant is a city-forming enterprise, where 45% of the local population is employed, but there is also work for those who live in the surrounding villages. The "coronavirus crisis" practically did not affect the plant's activities. What is produced here?

The plant's products are unique in their way: they are glass bottles for elite alcohol, into which even French cognacs are bottled. The salary in production is quite competitive ─ in the most difficult "hot shop" it reaches 70 thousand rubles. However, against the background of general well-being, there are problems that require urgent solutions.

The plant is located so that transport accessibility to it is difficult due to the deplorable state of the roads. In this regard, Vladimir Kiselev said the following:

─ Lack of good roads and access roads hinders the development of not only this particular enterprise, but also others in the Gus-Khrustalny district. We will discuss this problem with the executive branch, with the head of the region. I have already expressed my proposal to the governor regarding the development of a separate program for the reconstruction and construction of municipal roads. It is clear that this requires serious expenses. But it is here, in the cities and villages of the regions, where our people live. And often on the ground, in the Gus-Khrustalny region, in particular, the roads are “killed”. It is necessary to seek money, including through loans. If we, as an end in itself, keep a very low debt and do not invest in the region, there will be no development.

The chairman of the Legislative Assembly also paid attention to the oldest pharmaceutical plant of veterinary drugs in Gus-Khrustalny. The first products were produced here in 1942. Now it is a modern production that meets all industry standards. Many special stages have undergone modernization and are now able to compete even with leading European manufacturers. The company is actively exploring new markets: today drugs for the treatment and prevention of animals with its brand are in demand both in Russia and abroad ─ about 70% of the products are supplied abroad.

Speaker V. Kiselev expressed gratitude to the management and staff of the plant for their help during the coronavirus pandemic: the plant supplied its antiseptic agents to social institutions of the city and region completely free of charge.

Vladimir Nikolaevich inquired about the plans for the development of the plant, which are primarily associated with the expansion of the range of products. The plant actively cooperates with the Moscow Veterinary Academy. Scriabin. The fruit of this collaboration is a new product, the name and purpose of which have not yet been disclosed.
