Russia's only enterprise for the production of glass balls launched in Dagestan

In Dagestan, the only enterprise in Russia for the production of glass balls "Caspian Glass" was launched.

The opening ceremony was attended by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov and the head of Dagestan Sergey Melikov via videoconferencing.

Glass balls are the main raw material in the production of fiberglass by a two-stage production method. Glass balls are poured into the furnace for melting, and then glass threads with the necessary technical characteristics are drawn. Glass fiber, glass roving, glass fabrics are already made from stretched glass fiber.

Mostly Russian raw materials and equipment are involved in the production. The capacity of the enterprise is 2400 tons per year.

Products will be delivered to the Caspian Fiberglass Plant, the Makhachkala Fiberglass Plant, and other regions of Russia.

As for state support measures, the enterprise received the status of a resident of the TASED "Dagestan Lights", as well as a loan from the industry development fund of the republic.
