A plant for the production of glass containers for medicines will appear in Bratsk

At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Irkutsk Region Governor Igor Kobzev and RUSAL Vice President Elena Bezdenezhnykh signed a cooperation agreement, according to which a project to build a glass factory will be implemented in Bratsk.

“It took us a very long time to sign the agreement, and today the Irkutsk region is ready to create conditions for the implementation of this project, which is significant not only for the Angara region, but for the whole country. We are interested in young specialists participating in the design and construction of this facility, and in the future to use their knowledge at the enterprise, which will certainly become one of the landmarks in the region,” said Irkutsk Region Governor Igor Kobzev.

It is assumed that the glass factory in Bratsk will produce containers for medicines. The issues of using raw materials for new production are already being worked out. In particular, the production of quartz sand, which will be suitable for use in the manufacture of glass, from the Severo-Tulunskoye deposit is being considered.
