In Belgorod, three quarters of the windows damaged during shelling were restored

As of January 12, 3.1 thousand square meters were replaced in Belgorod. m of windows damaged due to large-scale shelling from late December to early January. The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced this on his VKontakte page. About 1 thousand sq. m of glazing is still being restored.

Work to restore balconies in apartment buildings and windows in the private sector is planned to be completed by the end of the week, Mr. Gladkov added. By the end of January, the authorities also plan to complete the installation of complex aluminum stained glass windows on Parkovaya Street, which were previously ordered from manufacturers. Roof repairs are ongoing and finishing work is underway.

Work has been completed on 18 of 23 federal, regional and municipal property objects on the list of the Russian Ministry of Construction for restoration. The Folk Art Center and Lyceum No. 9, damaged during shelling, continue to be restored. “Both objects have complex window blocks: in the first case, stained glass, in the second, arched wooden ones. The measurements have been completed and production has already started. But the facade of the building of a cultural heritage site requires a subtle restoration approach, which cannot be carried out in winter,” the governor explained.

In total, from December 29 to early January, 1,110 residential buildings were damaged during shelling in Belgorod. We are talking about 947 apartments in 105 apartment buildings and 153 individual houses.
