Installation for testing glass containers for water resistance UIS-V

Dear colleagues, we are publishing news about the member of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia, LLC "Microelectronic Technologies Plant":

The issue of determining the water resistance of glass containers is currently relevant. Microelectronic Technologies Plant LLC has developed a compact-sized installation UIS-V ENLA.441332.001, which allows testing glass products for water resistance. The installation is mobile (dimensions 640x555x503 mm, weight no more than 40 kg), and if necessary, it can be moved around the production facility. UIS-V is suitable for glass containers of various sizes and purposes.

The installation is designed to keep glass containers in boiling water when testing glass containers for water resistance of the inner surface according to GOST 13905. Also, in manual control mode, it can maintain the user-specified water temperature in the tank for a time specified by the user. The room where UIS-V is located must be equipped with ventilation.

The installation is made on a modern element base of 2024. The working volume of the tank is 36 liters. UIS-V is powered by a three-phase network 3x380 V 50 Hz. Due to the solid-state combined relay, UIS-V has an increased service life, in comparison with analogues.

As a result of using 3 powerful heating elements, there is uniform heating and rapid boiling of the liquid in the unit, and the automation provides moderate boiling without jolts. Due to this, operator participation is minimal. The UIS-V unit ensures heating of water to the boiling point in no more than 15 minutes with installed glass containers with a volume of up to 1 liter and an initial water temperature in the tank from +18 ℃.

Water poured into the unit must be prepared to eliminate scale formation (have a reduced salt content).

The model belongs to the laboratory category, it can be used in laboratories and in control areas of both manufacturers (glass factories) and consumers (distilleries, food production, breweries, wineries) of glass containers. Periodically, during quality control, it turns out that foreign inclusions appear on the inner surface of glass containers, as a result of which glass products can lose their water resistance and consumer properties.
