Domestic materials and components were used during the repair of the glass furnace No. 1 of the Steklotekh plant near Tyumen. It was completely demolished and a new one built. The height of the key facility for production is 14 m, the length is 20 m, and the width is 10 m. glassmaking. Productivity and output of finished products will increase by almost 30%.
Viktor Stefanov, the chief technologist of the Steklotekh plant, told a correspondent of the Tyumenskaya Liniya news agency that the repair itself took 1.5 months, 2.2 thousand tons of refractory bricks and 130 tons of metal structures. Part of the funds for the new project was allocated by the Industry Development Fund.
"We delivered the furnace for repairs on June 19. We completely dismantled the laying of bricks and metal structures. We completed the new laying of refractory on August 4. The furnace was laid according to a new project, this will allow us to remove 200 tons of glass melt per day, which will increase productivity and output of finished products by almost 30 percent," said the chief technologist.
Part of the bricks was purchased from Russian refractory manufacturers from Podolsk, Borovichi and Sukholozhsk. Some more - in China, where they produce a certain type of such material. In addition, domestic technological equipment was also used in the new furnace: an automation system, charge loaders, a gas mixing station, ventilation, a furnace pool cooling system, and air ducts.
"From August 5, the furnace has been on the brood - slow heating. This will bring it to the operating temperature - 1,550 degrees. During this period, the furnace is heated, and then the glass melt is welded on. To do this, more than 360 tons of cullet will be poured into the furnace. Only after that The start-up work is scheduled to be completed on August 19. We should already produce glass mass and from August 20 we will be doing a trial run of glass-forming machines," Viktor Stefanov specified.
Over time, the second furnace will also be repaired. Work is planned for 2026.
It should be noted that the production of glass containers at the Steklotekh plant in the village of Bogandinsky began 12 years ago. 700 bottles are produced per minute, and the production capacity is designed for 300 million glass containers per year. The company is switching to Russian software and consumables. Specialties unique for the Tyumen region are taught in their own training center. The company employs 380 people.
