SIBUR'S SHOPPING AREA FOR REALIZATION OF SECONDARY RAW MATERIALS ACTIVELY WORKS

The Sibur company’s Reactor trading platform continues to operate. The site specializes in the sale of recycled materials: polymer recycled materials, glass, textiles and other products.

The site operates in digital format. According to the company, its customers are 4.5 thousand organizations, 1.5 thousand announcements are placed monthly, which are subject to thorough scrutiny. The main specialization of the site is the sale of secondary polymer raw materials.

“SIBUR seeks to actively use Reactor as a marketing of its illiquid and substandard products formed in the production process. Such products are valuable raw materials with clear characteristics for processing companies,” the company said. In addition to the holding’s second production, plastics, paper, glass, metals, and third-party textiles to be processed are sold at the site.

In general, the company calls this site a "tool for quick and transparent communication with the recyclable market," which is essentially a new direction for SIBUR.

"The market for secondary resources is still characterized by low structure, lack of long-term relationships and the usual rules of the game, lack of price and other statistics. Creating a market place that most market participants could trust and, accordingly, use by default, can fundamentally change the level of comfort work in the industry, ”says Konstantin Rzayev, managing director of the EcoTechnology Group of Companies.

The project was launched as part of achieving the company's goals for developing a closed-loop economy in the country. According to the adopted strategy for sustainable development until 2025, SIBUR intends to utilize at least 50% of all waste generated by the company. Assessing the current situation in the market of recyclable materials, the company sees the need to create conditions for the development of the waste processing industry.
