Sibsteklo increased production output by 15 percent

Dear colleagues, we are publishing news about a member of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia LLC Siberian Glass (Sibsteklo):

Siberian Glass LLC (the largest manufacturer of glass containers beyond the Urals, an asset of RATM Holding) summed up the production results for 2022.

According to Anton Mor, General Director of Sibstekla, in comparison with 2021, the output in glass complexes increased by 15% in tons - from 206 thousand to 237 thousand, in pieces by 15% - from 711 million to 816.4 million glass products. The share of a bottle using NNPB (narrow-neck press blowing) technology, which makes it possible to lighten glass products while maintaining strength characteristics, has grown to 74.2%: if in 2021 514.5 million units of such containers rolled off the conveyors, then in 2022 - 606 million. rose by two percentage points to 0.86, one of the highest in the industry.

According to the CEO, in 2023 the company intends to implement a program to improve the efficiency of production processes by speeding up the work of glass-forming machines, as well as continue implementing projects related to reducing the weight of glass packaging.

– It is environmentally friendly: the lighter the bottle, the lower the CO2 emissions in the supply chains of our partners, – comments Anton Mor. - And Sibsteklo, spending the same amount of energy and raw materials, will produce more glass containers, and it will be in demand. The Russian beverage market is showing positive dynamics, including due to import substitution. International brewing companies, whose facilities are located in our country, have replaced some foreign brands with domestic ones; strengthened the position of regional representatives of the industry, primarily due to the development of distribution channels.
