Sibsteklo is ready to support the trend towards import substitution of drinks

Siberian Glass LLC (Sibsteklo, an asset of RATM Holding) presented samples of containers and new solutions for glass packaging at the 30th International Exhibition of Food, Drinks and Raw Materials for Their Production PRODEXPO, held in Moscow with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and under the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

The large-scale forum brought together more than two thousand exhibitors from 35 countries, including almost 1,600 Russian companies.

“Participation in PRODEXPO is one of the components of the company's marketing strategy and allows, among other things, to receive insider information about upcoming changes in related markets in order to be able to organize production activities in an optimal way,” said Anton Mor, General Director of Sibsteklo.

According to him, working meetings were held with all key clients:

– We discussed cooperation in 2023, confirming our commitments. In particular, the flexibility of the production model allows us to provide container glass to customers from among the representatives of the strong alcohol market, who, as part of the import substitution policy, have launched the production of gin, rum and whiskey in the premium and mainstream segments. We are talking about both federal and local players.

In addition, according to Anton Mor, the trend towards lighter glass packaging will continue to develop, not only for beer, but also for vodka, as well as cans - Sibstekl plans to reduce its weight by 5%.

“Visitors of our stand were interested in the so-called super-light 235-gram bottle: the design solutions were developed by Sibstekl specialists in cooperation with AB InBev Efes,” Anton Mor reminded. – This example also inspires other beer producers – similar projects are underway with them.
