Rostov plant shipped the first 46 tons of innovative glass for construction

Russia's only plant for the production of glass with energy-efficient magnetron sputtering Larta Glass in the Rostov region has shipped the first batch of import-substituting glass, the press service of the Investment Development Agency of the region reported on Thursday.

"The plant shipped the first 46 tons of new oversized coated architectural glass for the construction of commercial and civil construction projects in the regions of Russia. Oversized coated architectural glass is an import-substituting product. Until recently, such glass was imported to our country from Europe and China," the statement says. message.

It is clarified that the plant, located in the Krasnosulinsky district of the Rostov region, is the only one in Russia that produces flat glass of 9.3 m format with energy-efficient magnetron sputtering. The production of these products at the enterprise was mastered in 2023 after modernization. Previously, the plant produced glass with a format of 7.3 m.

“In 2022, we were able to quickly rebuild processes, plan further development, and return to investment projects. An important event was the repair of our factory furnace, which was carried out for the first time without the participation of foreign specialists,” the press service of the AIR quotes Konstantin Nezhevenko, CEO of Larta Glass Rostov.

Larta Glass (part of the FGC group of companies) is one of the largest manufacturers of sheet glass, coated glass and mirrors in the CIS countries.
