REO invests six billion rubles in waste processing companies

The Russian environmental operator (REO) will invest in waste processing companies. Six billion rubles will be allocated for this.

REO is investing 6 billion rubles in 13 waste recycling companies across the country. The list includes Moscow, Moscow Region, Krasnodar Territory, Rostov Region, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Yugra, Penza Region, Sakhalin, Samara, Tula and Leningrad Regions. Among the enterprises in which the funds will be invested are the Ecoline Group of Companies (a regional operator in Moscow and the region), KPO-Yugra LLC, and the Leningrad Region Waste Management Company JSC.

It is specified that state funds are repayable.

With this money, it is planned to create facilities for the processing and disposal of four million tons of waste per year. Total capital expenditures will amount to RUB 28 billion.

“When implementing these investment projects, a new measure of state support, approved by the government of the Russian Federation on June 22, will be applied - the redemption of bonds. These facilities will be commissioned in 2022-2023, ”the press service of the REO said.
