Business is a task.

The customer, as part of the modernization of the office space, has formed a task to ensure privacy for all meeting rooms. It is important to point out that the majority of translucent structures had sections of non-standard shape (curvilinear, trapezoidal).

The design idea was that offices and meeting rooms could achieve privacy by switching the transparency of the glass. Since the partitions were mounted in parallel with the connection of smart glass, various solutions were selected: installation of new partitions using smart glass and installation of smart film on already installed structures.

Thanks to the introduction of variable transparency technology, meeting rooms have become a modern functional space that involves various use cases. When the meeting rooms are free - the glass is transparent, the volume of space is saved. When a meeting with a client takes place in the meeting room, the space instantly becomes private.

Technologies and materials.

Smart glass and smart film are electrically connected products with variable transparency, which have the same effect for the observer, but represent different technical solutions. Glass with variable transparency is produced by triplexing (baking a liquid crystal polymer layer between two layers of glass), and smart film can be applied to the outer surface of the glass by gluing in a relatively short time.

The construction of partitions and installation of profile systems was carried out by Stroymoda LLC. Smart glass and smart film are manufactured by Privat Glass LLC.
