Call for applications for the International Climate Competition Green Eurasia

Dear colleagues!

The Association StekloSouz of Russia has an ecology committee. One of its priority areas is the promotion of the climate agenda.

As part of its work in this area, the Association StekloSouz of Russia has signed an agreement with the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization "Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects" (hereinafter referred to as the Agency).

We inform you that the Agency, together with the Eurasian Economic Commission, is holding the International Climate Competition "Green Eurasia" (hereinafter referred to as the Competition).

The goal of the Competition is not only to identify global technology leaders, but also to create a platform for the exchange of experience, best practices and ideas among participants from different countries. This will help strengthen cooperation in the areas of climate mitigation and adaptation, as well as raise awareness of the importance of environmentally friendly technologies and the climate agenda.

Over the past two years, the Competition has received over 600 applications from member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (hereinafter referred to as the EAEU), as well as from Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Egypt, Iran, China, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Latvia and Cameroon.

In 2025, participants will be able to present their projects in the following 12 nominations:

1. Practices for ensuring climate adaptation of transboundary territories.
2. Practices of public and corporate governance and financing in the field of climate.
3. Climate monitoring, forecasting climate change and managing climate-active substances.
4. Sustainable energy.
5. Climate-neutral transport systems and solutions.
6. Low-carbon industry and materials.
7. Circular economy.
8. Climate-resilient cities and health-preserving environment.
9. Climate-oriented agriculture and forestry.
10. Water resources in new climatic conditions.
11. Education and personnel in the field of climate.
12. Practices of using ecosystem services to ensure adaptation to climate change.

The competition is held among various categories of participants, including commercial organizations, government agencies, authorities and local governments, non-profit organizations and associations, as well as individuals from any country.

Taking into account the importance of promoting the climate agenda both within the EAEU and at the global level, as well as the global need for the development of "green" technologies, we invite you to take part in the Competition.
