Ambassador K. Omuraliev presented the potential of Kyrgyzstan to Turkish entrepreneurs

The Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev made a working trip to the city of Mersin. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

As part of the trip, Omuraliev met with the governor of Mersin province Ali Sui and the mayor of the city of Vahap Secher.

“The ambassador noted the need for further expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the province, the trade turnover between which is more than $ 8 million, the establishment and development of existing bilateral cooperation between the cities of the Kyrgyz Republic and Mersin,” the report said.

During a meeting with entrepreneurs of the Chamber of Commerce and the Exchange, Omuraliev made a presentation on the investment climate and opportunities in the Kyrgyz Republic, on business conditions, macroeconomic indicators and foreign trade turnover of the Kyrgyz Republic, on the membership of the Kyrgyz Republic in the EAEU, distributed domestic investment projects, and also presented a video about the country.

“The ambassador invited businessmen to open new production facilities in Kyrgyzstan and expressed readiness to assist in their activities in the Kyrgyz Republic, and also answered questions of interest to them. The issues of lending, pricing, import of beans from the Talas region to Turkey and other countries were discussed, ”the department said.

In addition, the diplomat met with Mersine with compatriots and informed them about the measures taken by the government with regard to the protection of citizens, as well as about the meetings held.

“The issues of protecting the rights and interests of citizens, the rights and obligations of foreign citizens residing in Turkey were discussed. Answers are also provided to numerous questions regarding the procedure for applying for a work permit and residence permit, ”the Foreign Ministry emphasized.

The Kyrgyz students at the Mersin University discussed the conditions for students in the Turkish city, as well as inter-university cooperation between the two countries.

For reference: Mersin is the administrative center of the province of the same name. Mersin Province is located in southeastern Turkey on the Mediterranean coast.

Mersin is the largest port in Turkey; textile, chemical, processing, and glass industries are developed. The Mersin Free Economic Zone is the largest in TR, where over 300 companies operate.
