Production of facade glass is going to be opened in the Novgorodskaya SEZ

The St. Petersburg electrical installation company Elektroprof will build its own production facility in the Novgorodskaya special economic zone.

This was reported by the Novy Prospekt newspaper.

The St. Petersburg company plans to launch production of curved and flat glass structures for facades, including architectural double-glazed windows of complex shapes.

The company's representative, Alexey Kopalin, told the publication that in addition to its own funds, the investor wants to attract preferential financing.

He added that initially it was planned to build the production facility in the St. Petersburg SEZ, but Novgorodskaya appealed to him more, since it has more interesting working conditions and decisions are made more quickly.

According to him, a preliminary agreement on the construction of the plant already exists, and an agreement on the implementation of the project will be signed by the end of this year. The project is estimated at 9 billion rubles.

According to Novy Prospekt, the capacity of the new enterprise will be 150 thousand square meters of products per year. The project implementation period is about three years. Electroprof will mainly use the products for its own electrical installation work, in particular at Gazprom and Sberbank facilities.

Analysts believe that Electroprof's facade glass may be in demand by third-party companies.
