LLC «Sibsteklo» form a plan of the reference area

As part of the implementation of the national project "Labor Productivity", LLC "Sibirskoe Steklo" began to develop a plan for a reference site for the production of products, which will visually present the results of improving work efficiency through lean manufacturing tools. Experts from the Regional Competence Center provide consulting support to the company.

Recall that the national project, which unites enterprises of the basic non-primary sectors of the economy, was initiated as part of the execution of Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated May 7, 2018 No. 204 “On national goals and strategic objectives for the development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2024”.

By now, members of the project working group have been trained in the basics and methods of lean production: according to RCC specialists, “we all need to speak the same language and understand what exactly we want to do, and, accordingly, get from it.”

– In the course of diagnostics of production processes, we came to the conclusion that it is necessary to improve the work of those who ensure the transfer of production lines (replacement of equipment, scheduled preventive measures, etc.) from the manufacture of one assortment to another - the services of the chief engineer and chief technologist, as well as operators and adjusters of glass-forming machines,” says Anton Mor, General Director of Siberian Glass LLC. – We will strive to optimize the changeover, respectively, to reduce the downtime of the SPM and the time it takes to reach the specified coefficient of use of glass mass, thus increasing production efficiency. We also have the opportunity, by redistributing work and reducing the number of movements of parts and materials, to transfer part of the employees to perform other operations.

In addition, representatives of Sibstekla have started an internship at the Process Factory, where they will gain experience in applying lean manufacturing tools in practice to improve operational and economic performance. Taking into account the specifics of the glass container plant, special attention at the implementation stage of the program will be paid to eliminating losses using the 5S system and SMED technologies.
