Kazakhstani glass will begin to be produced in Kyzylorda in 2020

During this year, Kyzylorda plans to begin production of flat glass. This was reported in Orda Glass Ltd.

As explained in the company, at the moment, construction and installation works are at a testament stage.

"At the same time, the installation of the technological equipment of the plant is ongoing. The heating of the melting furnace is scheduled for July 2020," LS said.

It is noted that 70% of the finished products are planned to be sold in the domestic market, and 30% they want to export to the countries of Central Asia and Russia. At the same time, 226 jobs will be created during the operation of the enterprise.

It was expected that the construction of the plant for 42 billion tenge will be completed in the IV quarter of 2019. In early April 2019, it was reported that the plant has not yet been commissioned due to a conflict between the founders. As explained in the regional department of industrial and innovative development, the American company Stewart Engineers without any arguments refused to further participate in the project, thereby putting the main founder of the project, the Chinese company King Charm Development, in a difficult position. Later, the American side expressed a desire to return to the project of a glass factory in Kyzylorda, as soon as Orda Glass fulfills its obligations under the contract. According to the company, despite the delay in payments, in March 2019 they delivered air ducts worth several thousand dollars to a construction site in Kyzylorda. In addition, according to their forecasts, the company may be put into operation in August 2020.

Recall that initially the plant was planned to be commissioned in 2017.
