Despite the fact that in general in 2023, the volume of production of building materials in monetary terms in comparable prices increased by 2.6% by 2022, and many industries (building materials) were able to achieve positive dynamics in production volumes in physical terms, there are a number sub-sectors with negative dynamics.
At the end of the year, we formed an anti-rating of the Top 10 sub-sectors (products) based on the negative dynamics of product output.
Top 10 sub-sectors (products) with negative dynamics of natural indicators in 2023:
1. Minus 19.5% – glazed ceramic tiles for interior wall cladding (54.4 million sq. m)
2. Minus 19.2% – wooden windows and their frames (330 thousand sq. m)
3. Minus 9.2% – nets, canvases, mats, mattresses, slabs and other fiberglass products (80.7 million cubic meters)
4. Minus 8.7% – ceramic facade slabs and carpets made from them (9.1 million sq. m)
5. Minus 6.8% – ceramic tiles for floors (102 million sq. m)
6. Minus 6.6% – natural sands (339 million cubic meters)
7. Minus 5.9% – ceramic non-refractory building brick (5.3 billion conventional bricks)
8. Minus 5.8% – building bricks (including stones) made of cement, concrete or artificial stone (2.2 billion standard bricks)
9. Minus 1.1% – plywood (3.3 million cubic meters)
10. Minus 0.3% – thermally polished sheet glass and sheet glass with a matte or polished surface, but not processed in any other way (164 million sq. m)
