The shipment of glass by rail to the Russian market (domestic deliveries + imports) in the third decade of June 2024 continued to exhibit negative dynamics relative to the same period last year – minus 4.9%. The shipment volume amounted to 1.5 million square meters. m.

Consumption of railway glass by transport in the third decade of June 2024 increased in three federal districts of the Russian Federation. The maximum growth in railway supplies to the Volga Federal District is +89.3%. The decrease in supplies occurred in five federal districts of the Russian Federation, the largest in the Northwestern Federal District - 74.9%.

• Volga Federal District – 277 thousand sq. m. m (+89.3%);

• Southern Federal District – 150 thousand sq. m. m (+15.5%);

• Ural Federal District – 157 thousand sq. m. m (+9.9%);

• Siberian Federal District – 659 thousand sq. m. m (-5.4%);

• Far Eastern Federal District – 97 thousand sq. m. m (-8.8%);

• Central Federal District – 59 thousand sq. m. m (-53.5%);

• North Caucasian Federal District – 20 thousand sq. m (-57.5%);

• Northwestern Federal District – 33 thousand sq. m. m (-74.9%).

In general, in June 2024, the volume of glass shipments by rail to the Russian market amounted to 4.2 million square meters. m, which is 4.4% less than for the same period in 2023.

Consumption of railway glass in June 2024 increased in three federal districts of the Russian Federation. The maximum increase in railway supplies to the Volga Federal District is +32.8%. The decrease in supplies occurred in five federal districts of the Russian Federation, the largest in the Central Federal District - 51.9%.

• Volga Federal District – 748 thousand sq. m. m (+32.8%);

• Ural Federal District – 338 thousand sq. m. m (+5.5%);

• Siberian Federal District – 2,043 thousand sq. m. m (+3.4%);

• Southern Federal District – 280 thousand sq. m. m (-16.5%);

• Far Eastern Federal District – 378 thousand sq. m. m (-23.6%);

• North Caucasian Federal District – 96 thousand sq. m. m (-26.2%);

• Northwestern Federal District – 173 thousand sq. m. m (-28.7%);

• Central Federal District – 176 thousand sq. m. m (-51.9%).

For the period from the beginning of the year to June 30, 2024, the volume of glass shipped by rail to the Russian market amounted to 20.7 million square meters. m, which is 6.3% more than for the same period in 2023.

Consumption of railway glass from January 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024 increased in six federal districts of the Russian Federation. The maximum increase in railway supplies to the Volga Federal District is +43.8%. The decrease in supplies occurred in two federal districts of the Russian Federation, the largest in the Central Federal District - 32.9%.

• Volga Federal District – 3,657 thousand sq. m. m (+43.8%);

• Far Eastern Federal District – 1,812 thousand sq. m. m (+31.4%);

• Ural Federal District – 1,620 thousand sq. m. m (+13.6%);

• Northwestern Federal District – 984 thousand sq. m. m (+8.1%);

• Siberian Federal District – 8,786 thousand sq. m (+3.9%);

• North Caucasian Federal District – 1,189 thousand sq. m. m (+3.2%);

• Southern Federal District – 1,163 thousand sq. m. m (-16.3%);

• Central Federal District – 1,486 thousand sq. m. m (-32.9%).

The share of railway glass supplies to the Russian market in total consumption for 4 months of 2024 was ~20%.
