I decade, June 2024. Dynamics of the market for railway glass shipments

According to preliminary estimates, glass shipments by rail to the Russian market (domestic deliveries + imports) in the first ten days of June 2024, after a long stay in the red zone, showed positive dynamics relative to the same period last year - plus 6.2%.

For the period from the beginning of the year to June 10, 2024, the volume of glass shipments by rail to the Russian market amounted to 18.0 million square meters. m, which is 9.1% more than for the same period in 2023.

Consumption of glass delivered by rail for the period from January 1 to June 10, 2024 increased in six districts of the Russian Federation (in brackets are the dynamics for the period from the beginning of the year to May 31, 2024):

• Far Eastern Federal District +43.3% (previously +62.2%);

• Volga Federal District +42.7% (previously +46.9%);

• Northwestern Federal District +25.3% (previously +21.4%);

• Ural Federal District +20.6% (previously +15.9%);

• North Caucasian Federal District +8.9% (previously +7.0%);

• Siberian Federal District +6.5% (previously +4.0%).

A decrease in the supply of glass by rail for the period from January 1 to June 10, 2024 was recorded in two districts of the Russian Federation (in brackets are the dynamics for the period from the beginning of the year to May 31, 2024):

• Central Federal District -32.7% (previously -29.1%);

• Southern Federal District -18.3% (previously -16.3%).

The share of railway glass supplies to the Russian market in total consumption for 4 months of 2024 was ~20%.
