According to preliminary estimates, the negative dynamics in glass shipments by rail to the Russian market (domestic supplies + imports) in the first ten days of August 2024 compared to the same period last year continued - minus 45.5%. The shipment volume amounted to 0.8 million sq. m.
Consumption of rail glass by transport in the first ten days of August 2024 increased in two federal districts of the Russian Federation. The maximum growth in rail supplies in the Volga Federal District was +33.7%. A decrease in supplies occurred in six federal districts of the Russian Federation, the largest - in the North Caucasus Federal District -100.0%.

• Northwestern Federal District – 73 thousand sq. m (-9.1%);

• Siberian Federal District – 386 thousand sq. m (-57.9%);
• Central Federal District – 37 thousand sq. m (-68.4%);
• North Caucasian Federal District – 0 thousand sq. m (-100.0%).
For the period from the beginning of the year to August 10, 2024, the volume of glass shipped by rail to the Russian market amounted to 24.8 million sq. m, which is 1.3% less than for the same period in 2023.
Consumption of rail glass from January 1, 2024 to August 10, 2024 increased in three federal districts of the Russian Federation. The maximum growth of railway supplies in the Volga Federal District +39.4%. The decrease in supplies occurred in five federal districts of the Russian Federation, the largest - in the Central Federal District -35.7%.
