The CEO of Sibsteklo has become a nominee for the Person of the Year 2024 award

The CEO of Sibirskoye Steklo LLC (Sibsteklo, one of the leading glass container manufacturers in Russia, the largest glass waste recycler in the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts, an asset of RATM Holding) Anton Mor has been shortlisted for the Socially Responsible Business. Clean Novosibirsk nomination as part of the annual Person of the Year award of the Delovoy Kvartal – Novosibirsk business publication.

Anton Mor will compete with the CEO of AllianceTransTorg LLC Andrey Pirozhkov, the Director of Franchising Development of the White Rabbit Company, co-founder of GIDROTEK LLC Umid Usmanov, and the founder of the NAVIGATOR SIBERIA Group of Companies Olga Chernavina. The winner will be determined by online voting at the award ceremony at the end of November.

Sibsteklo reduces the environmental burden by using glass waste in the production of containers. The geography of glass waste collection has been expanded, and cooperation with the HoReCa sector is developing. The company has also secured priority for the removal and disposal of glass waste collected as part of eco-volunteer campaigns - activists need to make sure that their efforts have brought results.

To promote the culture of responsible consumption, an industrial tour route "Glass Cycle in the Plant" has been created, the participants of which are shown all the stages of glass waste processing, explaining the importance of sorting MSW.

According to the results of 2023, 48 thousand tons of glass waste were disposed of in Sibsteklo glass furnaces - this is equivalent in volume to 740 railway cars. Thus, 57.6 thousand tons of non-renewable mineral resources were saved. The energy intensity of the glass-making process was reduced by 5%, as a result, industrial emissions into the atmosphere.

Let us recall that in 2021, Anton Mor won the Industrialist of the Year nomination for launching a new glass-making furnace with a capacity of 375 tons of glass per day. In 2024, Sibsteklo specialists found an opportunity to increase this figure to 480 tons, thanks to the use of recycled raw materials.

The Person of the Year award is independent and non-profit - nominees are chosen by members of industry expert councils consisting of representatives of business, government bodies, professional communities, charitable organizations, as well as consultants, marketers and PR specialists.
