The CEO of Sibsteklo has become a nominee for the title of Industrialist of the Year

The CEO of Siberian Glass LLC Anton Mor has entered the final three contenders for the title of Industrialist of the Year as part of the annual Person of the Year award, organized by the business publication Delovoy Kvartal – Novosibirsk.

Anton Mor will be competing with the Director of Novye Tekhnologii LLC Tatyana Lopatkina and the CEO of Baumekh LLC Stanislav Tereshchenko. Which of the nominees will become Industrialist of the Year will be announced at the award ceremony at the end of November.

LLC Sibirskoye Steklo (Sibsteklo, an asset of RATM Holding) is one of the leading manufacturers of glass containers in the country, the largest recycler of glass waste beyond the Urals, and has the official status of “Partner of National Projects of Russia”.

In the fourth quarter of 2024, Sibsteklo commissioned a technological complex for processing glass waste with a capacity of 132 thousand tons of recyclable materials per year - the largest in the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts. This allows increasing the use of cullet in components for the manufacture of containers, due to which the plant reduces the environmental burden - CO2 emissions due to reduced energy consumption, as well as the rate of depletion of minerals and the accumulation of solid municipal waste in landfills.

Last year, Sibsteklo recycled 71 thousand tons of glass waste, which is equivalent in volume to 1,090 railway cars. Thus, 85.2 thousand tons of mineral resources were saved.

To date, up to 35% of recycled materials are used to produce colorless glass containers, and 55-60% of brown glass containers. In addition, Sibsteklo successfully conducted industrial experiments to increase the share of cullet in bottle production to a record 80% (6 million glass products rolled off the assembly lines): daily consumption of sand, soda, dolomite and feldspar decreased by 100 tons, gas consumption by 12% or 4.8 thousand cubic meters.

Recall that in 2021, Anton Mor won the Industrialist of the Year nomination, presenting the project "Launch of a new glass furnace with a capacity of 375 tons of glass per day".

The Person of the Year award is independent and non-profit – nominees are selected by members of industry expert councils consisting of representatives of business, government bodies, professional communities, as well as consultants, marketers and PR specialists.
