The planned capacity of the ecotechnopark in the city of Nevinnomyssk in the Stavropol Territory will make it possible to process municipal solid waste from the entire North Caucasus Federal District. This was announced by the governor of the region Vladimir Vladimirov during a meeting of President Vladimir Putin with members of the government of the Russian Federation via videoconference.
“We made a decision to form a production facility from recycled raw materials, a closed-cycle production facility on the territory of the city of Nevinnomyssk, - about 2 million tons. The figure is not accidental - <...> on the territory of the city of Nevinnomyssk, we will process almost completely solid municipal waste that is generated in the North Caucasus Federal District, ”said the head of the Stavropol Territory.
State funding for the creation of an eco-industrial park in Nevinnomyssk will exceed 920 million rubles. The land plot has already been allocated, the design is underway. Construction is scheduled to start in 2023. “Good logistics, the center of the North Caucasian and Southern federal districts, a very short distance to the resorts of Arkhyz, Elbrus, Caucasian Mineralnye Vody. This will allow us to reduce the amount of emissions, reduce all the landfills that we have at these resorts,” Vladimirov said.
At the end of 2023, it is planned to complete the creation of the ecotechnopark site and related infrastructure. After that, investor companies will be able to start creating their own production facilities in Nevinnomyssk. “Kavminretsikl company will be engaged in the processing of PET waste and polymer waste. The Eco-city company will produce an alternative type of fuel used in the production of cement, the same company will produce technological soils. <...> The Kavminkurortresursy company plans to process used glass, about 80 thousand tons," the head of the Stavropol Territory explained.
The decree on the construction of pilot eco-industrial parks in eight regions was previously signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. Construction will be carried out in 2022-2024. The developer will be the Environmental Digital Operator, a subsidiary of the public law company Russian Environmental Operator. The construction sites have already been selected by the authorities of the Moscow, Leningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Chelyabinsk, Novosibirsk regions, Stavropol, Krasnodar and Primorsky regions.
