The equipment of the eco-industrial park began in Miass, Chelyabinsk Region, 1.2 billion rubles were allocated from federal funds for this purpose, Deputy Region Governor Alexander Kozlov said at an off-site meeting of the Public Chamber.
He clarified that the project is being carried out within the framework of the federal project "Circular Economy" of the national project "Ecology", the Chelyabinsk region has become one of the eight pilot sites for creating new approaches to the processing of MSW.
"The primary goal of the project is the recycling of recyclable materials and the production of new products from it. To help new production be born in Russia, such eco-parks are being created. Benefits and federal support are provided for new production at its site, but all of them should be directed to the industrial processing of secondary resources , this is a fundamentally new approach to the processing of MSW," Kozlov said.
According to him, in order to implement the project, the region signed a cooperation agreement with the federal operator of the PIC "Russian Ecological Operator". Construction should be completed by the end of 2024.
"Currently, a positive conclusion from Glavexpertiza on the eco-industrial park project has been received, we are entering the phase of active infrastructure development, communications. At the same time, we are looking for high-quality residents to create recycling facilities," the deputy governor specified.
The head of Miass, Yegor Kovalchuk, specified that the ecopark is being built on the territory of an industrial zone.
"There will be no burial and sorting here, only production for the processing of selected raw materials - glass, plastic, textiles, etc. All residents are such enterprises. Residents have plans to create points for receiving raw materials separated during sorting," the mayor explained .
Several enterprises have already declared themselves as residents, which are building facilities for the production of Patflex and used plastic bottles, insulation from recycled textiles and other industries.
Earlier it was reported that the government of the Russian Federation allocated 9.4 billion rubles for the creation of eight eco-industrial parks.
Parks are planned to be built in the Krasnodar, Primorsky and Stavropol Territories, Leningrad, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk and Chelyabinsk Regions, they should start working by the end of 2024.
