Don glass container manufacturers are dynamically increasing their turnover

The Kamensky glass container plant (JSC KSTZ) and the glass container plant of the Nota company significantly increased their financial performance in 2022 against the backdrop of growing demand for a bottle from dynamically replacing imports of Russian alcohol producers.

Kamensky Glass Container Plant (JSC KSTZ) increased revenue by 48% in 2022, to RUB 1.56 billion, net profit doubled, to RUB 248 million. The company declined to comment on the dynamics of the indicators. The plant produces large-capacity wide-mouthed glass containers, as well as frits and dry mixes for the ceramics industry.

According to SPARK-Interfax, the shareholders of KSTZ JSC are Anatoly Shebanov and Alexander Nezhenets: they each have 33.28% in the authorized capital of the joint-stock company, another 14.26% belongs to Vladislav Shebanov.

At the end of 2022, another manufacturer of glass containers, Nota, increased its revenue by 33%, to RUB 834 million, while net profit increased by 13% and amounted to RUB 124 million. According to SPARK-Interfax, the co-owners of the company are Lyubov Inataeva and Irmiya Inataev.

One of the assets of Nota Group of Companies is the Azov Glass Container Plant, today the plant has one furnace for the production of cans and bottles. By 2023, the plan is to complete construction and put into operation a second furnace for the production of clear glass containers.

According to the information and analytical company VVS, the past year was good for the Russian glass industry. Bottle production volumes amounted to 11.3 billion bottles, which is almost 7% more than in 2021. The main reason for the increase in production is the increased demand from domestic producers of alcoholic beverages against the background of the termination of its supplies from unfriendly countries. Glass jar production volumes were not so impressive - they grew by only 0.5% and amounted to 2.3 billion pieces. Probably, a significant increase in KSTZ revenue is associated with an increase in demand for frit and dry mixes. Last spring, Anatoly Shebanov, Managing Director of the Kamensky Glass Container Plant, predicted for 2022 an increase in the demand of ceramic factories for domestically produced raw materials due to the rising cost of raw materials on the world market and the complication of import procedures.
