Dagestan and Oman to Jointly Produce Medical Glass Containers

During the visit of the Dagestan government delegation to the Sultanate of Oman, an agreement was signed to establish a joint industrial enterprise. The memorandum of cooperation between DagestanStekloTara LLC and the Omani company Ethidal National Trad&Cont. Est. was signed by the general director of the Dagestan enterprise Patakhudin Magomedov and the head of the Omani side Ali Muhammad Amer Al Barsami.

The project envisages the construction and launch of production of glass containers for the medical industry. As stated by the Deputy Prime Minister of Dagestan Rizvan Gazimagomedov, the project will begin within a year. "DagestanStekloTara" has expertise in the production of glass thread and glass beads, which opens up prospects for expanding the range of the joint venture in the future," Gazimagomedov noted.

On the eve of the signing of the memorandum, the Chairman of the Government of Dagestan Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov held talks with the Minister of Industry and Trade of Oman Qais Al Yousef, where the parties discussed the prospects for industrial cooperation. This project will be the first joint industrial enterprise between Dagestan and Oman.
