Azerbaijan resumes import of flat glass from the USA

In January this year, Azerbaijan imported 157.2 thousand square meters of sheet glass in the amount of 937 thousand US dollars.

According to the Report's calculations based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, this is 26% more than the same period in 2022 in value terms and 50% less in quantitative terms.

94.7 thousand sq. m. were purchased from Iran. m (-68%) worth 477.3 thousand dollars (20% less than a year ago), from Russia - 48.2 thousand square meters. m (+3, 3 times) by 365 thousand dollars (+2.5 times), from Ukraine - 13.9 thousand square meters. m for 82.5 thousand dollars (there were no deliveries a year ago), from the United States of America - 0.5 thousand square meters. m for 11.9 thousand dollars.

After a break of two years, deliveries from the USA were resumed.

During the reporting period, 171.7 thousand square meters (-47%) of sheet glass were sent from Azerbaijan abroad in the amount of 742 thousand dollars (-48%).
