13 investment projects implemented in the Nizhny Novgorod region in 2021

To coordinate this work in the region, the Corporation for the Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region was created.

13 investment projects worth 30 billion rubles were implemented in the Nizhny Novgorod Region in 2021. Six of them - with an investment of more than 1 billion rubles.

So, last year in the village of Sukhonoska, Koverninsky district, a cowshed for 624 heads appeared. Each animal is wearing a collar with a sensor on it, with the help of which specialists monitor the condition and productivity of the animal. Here - almost complete automation of production. The milking parlor is the only room on the farm where human presence is still required. Investments in this project amounted to 232 million rubles.

The Penex isomerization unit was launched at the Kstovo refinery.

On Bor, the construction of a greenhouse complex for year-round growing vegetables was completed, and a line for the production of polished glass was reconstructed at the Bor glass factory.

The production of high-tech equipment for the automotive industry was launched in the Gorodetsky district.

The second line for the production of thermomechanical pulp was put into operation at the paper mill in the Balakhna region.

At the plant in the Kstovsky district, the industrial wastewater treatment system was reconstructed.

The total investment in the region last year amounted to 30 billion rubles.

The implementation of investment projects affects not only the income growth of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, but also the number of jobs.

“Those projects that were supervised by the investment block of the government in 2021 led to the creation of about 2,000 new jobs. In 2022, we expect the creation of at least 3,000 new jobs in those projects that are at the final stage of implementation,” said Gleb Nikitin, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

In addition, zones with a special tax regime have been created in the Nizhny Novgorod Region: three TASEDs in Volodarsk, Reshetikh and Sarov and the special economic zone Kulibin.
