PLANT IN DMITROV. SECOND STAGE OF MODERNIZATION COMPLETED

Dear colleagues, we are publishing news about a member of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia, Stellar Glass LLC (Dmitrov Glass Factory).

At the end of September 2023 In Stellar Glass LLC (Dmitrov Glass Factory), furnace No. 1 with a capacity of 220 tons was fired up. Commission acceptance of the newly built glass melting furnace and all technological equipment of the hot and cold sections was carried out after its complete modernization, and on October 16 the first products were received.

The cold repair time was 55 days, which is a good industry indicator and indicates the high quality of planning and organization during cold repairs, which was made possible thanks to the well-coordinated work of plant managers and the entire team. Despite the short deadlines for the entire cycle of work, the key task during the repair was to ensure end-to-end control of all incoming materials and equipment, as well as work performed by ourselves and contractors.

As a result of the cold repairs, the plant's finished product output increased by 12%. As part of the renovation, in addition to the construction of a new furnace, all technological equipment was modernized - major repairs and modernization of glass-forming machines with the installation of a new control system, which will allow more efficient production of all types of glass containers, including the NNPB method. The cold section equipment (lines, palletizers) has also undergone complete modernization.

In addition, as part of the overall task of improving the plant's technological equipment, over the past two years (with the final stage during cold repairs), all lines of the plant have been modernized and retrofitted with inspection equipment to ensure that products meet the most stringent customer requirements.

The cold repairs carried out made it possible to significantly increase the efficiency and competitiveness of the enterprise. An additional advantage of the plant will be the automation of product flows and its accounting, and the expansion of the warehouse complex will allow the company to significantly reduce logistics costs.
