The Tversteklo plant celebrated its 50th anniversary

This is one of the unique enterprises of the Tver region.

On May 10, 2023 JSC Tversteklo celebrated its 50th anniversary. On behalf of the deputies of the regional parliament, the labor collective was congratulated by the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Sergey Golubev.

The Tversteklo plant is a landmark production in the Tver region, whose products are known far beyond the region. Addressing the workforce and veterans of the enterprise, Sergey Golubev emphasized that the glass industry has a long history and has always played a significant role in the industry and economy of our region.

Tversteklo traces its history back to 1973, when the republican specialized repair and installation department Stekloremont was founded, which built and maintained glass furnaces for glass factories. Today, Tversteklo continues the tradition and manufactures mold sets and works with many enterprises in Russia and the CIS countries.

In the 1970s, the company also began to manufacture lighting fixtures, and above all, crystal ones, using bronze, brass and copper, in the style of traditional Russian lamps. Artists and specialists of the enterprise have developed a large collection of products made of crystal and colored glass. They used both the traditional technique of diamond cutting and hand engraving by famous Russian artisans, as well as modern methods of working with crystal, glass and metal. The company also produced fixtures for street lamps.

The accumulated experience and knowledge of traditions allowed the Tversteklo plant to participate in large-scale Russian projects. Today, high-quality products of the enterprise adorn the Tver Imperial Palace, the Tver Drama Theater, the estate of the princes Kurakins in the Zubtsovsky municipal district. The products of OJSC "Tversteklo" are presented in the new building of the Tver Suvorov Military School, in the museum of the artist Valentin Sidorov. Tver craftsmen created products that adorned the pavilions of VDNKh in Moscow, Moscow cinemas and many others.

As Sergei Golubev noted, the Legislative Assembly constantly supports the glass enterprises of the region, which have experienced difficult times in recent decades.

“The deputies of the regional parliament have repeatedly considered options for modernizing and creating new glass production facilities, they have provided assistance in solving various issues in daily work on interaction with business entities and authorities,” said Sergey Golubev, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly. – I am confident in the further successful cooperation of the regional authorities with OAO Tversteklo in order to develop the industry.

On behalf of the deputy corps, Sergey Golubev thanked the employees of the enterprise for their conscientious work, wished them new production achievements and the preservation of wonderful traditions. The best employees of OAO Tversteklo were awarded certificates of honor and thanks from the Legislative Assembly of the Tver Region.
