Glass containers factory opened in North Ossetia

The Sollo glass container manufacturing company began its operations in Vladikavkaz at the site of the glass factory that closed, the press service of the republic’s Ministry of Industry and Transport said on Thursday.

"The company was established on the territory of Iristonsteklo JSC, which ceased its production activities. Equipment stopped in emergency operation was unsuitable for production. Sollo restored the main production lines that fell into disrepair during the plant’s downtime," the statement said .

It is noted that the company employs about 100 people, among them former employees of the glass factory.

So far, "Sollo" produces only one type of product, in the future it is planned to expand the range. Capacity building is planned by creating a new glass furnace and installing new production lines.

The Minister of Industry and Transport of the Republic, Khaidarbek Butov, said that assistance will be provided to the enterprise. "It is planned to provide for the use of state support mechanisms to raise funds for the modernization of production. We will work on this," Butova’s press service quotes.
