Round table meeting «Experience of adaptation and perspectives of application of Eurocodes»

Dear colleagues!

The Association "StekloSouz" of Russia received information that on March 17, 2021, the RSPP Committee on Industrial Policy and Technical Regulation, together with the Ministry of Construction of Russia, held a round table meeting "Adaptation Experience and Prospects for the Application of Eurocodes."

The round table was attended by Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities D.A. Volkov, Director of the FAU FTSS Muzycheno S.G., more than 30 representatives of industry business associations and scientific organizations.

The participants of the meeting studied in detail the information on the experience of applying Eurocodes in the EU countries, considered the possibilities of using this experience in the design of construction projects in our country, their compatibility with the current standards. Various options for the application of Eurocodes in Russia were also analyzed in detail.

S.V. Pugachev in his report outlined a range of issues related to the implementation of Eurocodes that require additional study.

According to LS Barinova, before making a decision on the implementation of Eurocodes, it is necessary to assess the necessity and feasibility of this process, as well as the existing financial, time and professional potential.

Members of the RSPP Working Group on technical regulation in construction, experts of the Committee expressed a number of specific comments and proposals on the issues discussed.

Summing up the results of the meeting, A.N. Lotsmanov expressed the opinion that the discussion of the application of the Eurocodes in Russia should be continued, the round table meeting can be considered the first step in this direction.
