The implementation of the measures of the strategy of the plant "Optik" will ensure the sustainable development of the enterprise. Confidence in this was expressed by the Minister of Industry of Belarus Alexander Rogozhnik following a visit to the enterprise.
Alexander Rogozhnik inspected the production and discussed the prospects for the development of this enterprise.
The plant is currently implementing a number of investment projects. In 2016-2022, the technical re-equipment and reconstruction of optical production was carried out to increase the output of demanded geometric optics, upgrade production facilities with improved working conditions. In December last year, the plant reached its design capacity. The share of innovative products in the total volume of shipped products amounted to 24.3% against the plan of 24%. In the field of fiber optics, 16 positions were mastered and introduced into production, geometric optics - 243 new positions, spectacle lenses - 21 positions.
In the period up to 2025, the Optic plant plans to modernize its fiber production in order to expand the range and improve the quality of products. The investment project is aimed at the development of optical glassmaking, the production of geometric optics, fiber optic products. Modernization provides for an increase in labor productivity in the manufacture of components for the production of optical-electronic and opto-mechanical devices. As a result of the project implementation, the volume of production will be increased by 9% due to the development of a new range of fiber optics, which in turn will reduce costs and increase profits from activities necessary for the development of production.
"The President of Belarus sets the task of ensuring the technological sovereignty and economic security of our country. And the activities of industrial enterprises are aimed at solving specific problems to achieve it. In general, the development of the economy based on scientific and technological potential, the creation of innovative industries, and the renewal of the real sector of the economy contributes to technological security" - said the Minister of Industry.
OJSC Zavod Optik is a member of the BelOMO holding. The main activities are the production of optical glass, spectacle lenses, geometric optics products, diamond tools, fiber optic products, and engineering products. Based on the results of work for January - December 2022 the enterprise is expected to fulfill all key indicators of the business plan.
