The capabilities of Sibstekla were demonstrated at the PRODEXPO-2024 exhibition

Dear colleagues, we are publishing news about a member of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia, Siberian Glass LLC (“Sibsteklo”):

Siberian Glass LLC (the largest manufacturer of container glass in the territory from the Urals to the Far East, an asset of RATM Holding) took part in the 31st International Exhibition of Food, Beverages and Raw Materials for Their Production “PRODEXPO” - the largest in Eastern Europe.

PRODEXPO united about 2,200 companies from 40 countries. As part of its exposition, Sibsteklo presented samples of glass containers for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and canned foods. According to RATM Holding President Eduard Taran, first of all, the company demonstrates its expert competencies and talks about opportunities.

“Sibsteklo has contracts for years to come: a stable client group was formed several years ago,” comments Eduard Taran. – Thus, at PRODEXPO the enterprise solves not sales, but rather image and communication problems. At the same time, it studies the competitive landscape, clarifying the current needs of the market in order to predict what it will become in a few years and offer glass packaging that best meets the expectations of the target audience. The request for environmental friendliness allows the plant to strengthen its leadership status by implementing projects that reduce the environmental impact in the glass production process.

According to Anton Mor, General Director of Siberian Glass LLC, the plant’s production program currently takes into account the interests of customers striving to achieve sustainable development goals:

– We are talking about reducing the container weight while maintaining displacement and mechanical strength. A striking example is the use of a super-light 235-gram bottle manufactured at Sibstekl, which allows AB InBev Efes to reduce CO2 emissions in the supply chain and save at least 5 thousand tons of glass annually. In addition, our clients want to know that the packaging will be recycled: given the availability of recycling capacity at Sibstekl, we are ready to increase the share of glass waste in the raw material to 80% by the end of 2024.
