Glass cluster in Vladimir region is expected to be launched in 2025

A database of raw material suppliers has already been created.

The launch of the glass cluster, which is being created in the region, is scheduled for 2025. The implementation of the project will allow participants to count on a federal subsidy of up to 150 million rubles for trial production, the Legislative Assembly of the Vladimir Region specified during a meeting of the Industrial Policy Committee.

The cluster, which already includes several enterprises from 33 and other regions of Russia, from Belarus, should solve the systemic problems of glassmakers. The list includes: disruption of supply chains due to sanctions, difficulties with servicing and purchasing machinery and equipment, training and attracting personnel.

In several months of preparatory work, it was possible to create a database of raw materials necessary for production, a register of suppliers. Import substitution is developing, negotiations are underway to attract suppliers to the cluster.

The idea of uniting glass manufacturers, related companies and organizations that train industry specialists arose in 2023. The project was presented at an exhibition in Moscow in February of this year. The cluster will be supervised by the organization "Steklograd".

Earlier it became known that the first chemical cluster had started operating in the Vladimir region. It was launched on the basis of the Gusev Glass College.
