Authorities expect to fill the Voronezh SEZ by 70% in 2 years

During 2020 and 2021 the territory of the special economic zone "Center" in the suburbs of Voronezh must be filled "at least 70%." Governor Alexander Gusev set this task to his subordinates at an operational meeting on Monday, December 16.

In particular, the head of the region emphasized that when this indicator is met, authorities will be able to choose a new site for the development of the SEZ and begin to supply it with engineering services. True, in what area of the region a branch of the economic zone may appear, the governor did not specify.

Recall that the SEZ “Center” is located in the suburbs of Voronezh, near the Maslovsky Industrial Park. The total area of the special economic zone will be 220 hectares, including about 174.6 hectares intended for enterprises, and the remaining territories for infrastructure facilities. The site allows you to open from 15 to 20 enterprises, designed for 4.18 thousand new jobs. The total investment in these projects will amount to 29.8 billion rubles, and the volume of tax revenues is projected at 11.6 billion rubles.

The specialization of the SEZ is defined: it is nuclear, radio-electronic, space, chemical (for the needs of the food industry) industry, as well as the production of building materials, engineering products and metalworking.

Currently, four investment projects have resident status in the Voronezh SEZ. The first to receive it were IK Maslovsky LLC (specializing in the production of glass prepregs, foil dielectrics and technical laminates for radio electronics) and Bally LLC (intends to produce children's and play equipment). The third participant was Resident LLC - a company that is part of AEON Corporation Roman Trotsenko, intends to create a production of frozen bakery products. The fourth SEZ resident turned out to be the Perfograd plant - the company plans to launch production of perforated metal sheets in the capital of Chernozemye.

As the governor had previously announced, six more projects could receive a similar status in the SEZ, and with it preferences, by the end of the year - while documents are being prepared. The total investment on these proposals is more than 10 billion rubles.

- In total, 16 projects are considered that can qualify for entry into a special economic zone. With their implementation, the site will be used by about 70%, ”said Alexander Gusev. - It is very important for us to quickly master this section so that we can open branches of the SEZ in other places.
